MPV/SAM Sociodrama and Action Methods Training

Course Directors

Ron Wiener

is a senior sociodrama trainer and organisational consultant, specialising in team-building with a worldwide practice. He co-directs the MPV/SAM school of sociodrama and creative action methods which runs certificate and diploma courses in Manchester and Shanghai. The school is an accredited school of the British Psychodrama Association (BPA) who gave Ron a lifetime achievement award in 2008. He is also a lead tutor in drama at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield and was part of a panel on Drama and Older People at the 2008 Performing the World conference in New York. He has a long history in community theatre and is a trustee of a number of voluntary organisations.

Di Adderley

is a BPA-accredited sociodrama trainer and co-director of MPV/SAM. She is also an Associate Consultant with Oakridge Training and Consulting; a psychodrama psychotherapist in private practice; and the founder/manager of RealPlay, a team of actors who work in the corporate field. Di's first career was as a professional actor/musician for 20 years. She is a founder member of Playback Theatre Manchester, a practitioner with York Playback Theatre and a Leadership Graduate of the original School of Playback Theatre (USA). Di runs workshops in the form both nationally and internationally, in Canada, USA, Sweden, Norway, Serbia, Turkey and Germany.




The summer school attracts participants from several countries and may include qualified practitioners, trainers (for whom it will be CPD), trainees and people who are new to these methods and who wish to have an in-depth introduction.
