Previous history
Has a Ph.D in social psychology from the London School of Economics Has worked as consultant to the World Health Organisation & Rotterdam City Council as a drug education specialist Worked for the National Institute of Industrial Psychology Was co-director of the Northern Ireland Research Institute in the 1970's Has been a lecturer at Leeds and Bradford Universities in the fields of community psychology, community development and adult education. Managed a psychiatric day centre which ran as a modified therapeutic community. Set up the Leeds Trade Union Community Resource and Information Centre. Has been a trade union shop steward and convenor.

as well as many articles, book chapters and training videos.
He is also a nationally published poet.
Presently:
Is a senior sociodrama trainer, mentor, supervisor and coach. Co-runs the MPV/SAM Sociodrama and Action Methods training in England and China and its international summer school. He runs workshops across Europe. He acts a training facilitator specialising in team building. He works as a community theatre producer and director. In 2009 he was given a life time achievement award by the British Psychodrama Association. He also designs postcards on global warming and anti-war themes which can be viewed on his website.
